A Frightening First Day

The elderly woman arrived at the  prison early in the morning, carrying only a small bag containing a few personal belongings.

At 78 years old, she was hard of hearing, moved slowly, and appeared so physically frail that many inmates immediately noticed her arrival.

She said very little as a guard escorted her through the prison and showed her the cell where she would stay. The guard then warned her that the  prisoners would soon be released into the yard.

The woman quietly nodded. She had no idea that another inmate had already noticed her and was preparing to approach.

Razor Was Waiting

In the prison yard, one woman commanded the attention of almost everyone around her. The inmates called her Razor, and very few people were willing to challenge her.
