Early signs of pancreatic cancer: the silent symptoms that doctors recommend not ignoring.

8. Loss of Appetite

A noticeable reduction in appetite can occur for many reasons.

Stress, infections, medications, depression, gastrointestinal disorders, and other medical conditions can all affect appetite.

In some people with pancreatic cancer, appetite changes may occur alongside digestive problems, nausea, abdominal discomfort, or unexplained weight loss.

The concern becomes greater when loss of appetite persists and contributes to significant unintended weight loss.

9. Nausea and Vomiting

Nausea can be caused by everything from food poisoning and migraine to medication side effects and gastrointestinal infections.

In pancreatic cancer, digestive changes or pressure caused by a tumor can sometimes contribute to nausea or vomiting.

Persistent vomiting should always be taken seriously because it can lead to dehydration and nutritional problems, regardless of the underlying cause.

If nausea or vomiting is frequent, unexplained, or accompanied by other concerning symptoms, medical advice is appropriate.
